Is Social Security in Bigger Trouble Than Once Believed?

Social Security’s potential insolvency has been in the news off and on for decades.

Some have simply become accustomed to the uncertain state of the program and its future. But this form of acceptance, coupled with a lack of action from policymakers, could prove disastrous.

By some reports, funds could be depleted sooner than we thought. This would put the crisis at a year or two before the projected 2035 deadline. This gives us less time to work with.
