Many recipients of Supplemental Social Security income have reported an error message from the Social Security Administration (SSA).
The error reportedly informed them that they weren’t receiving payments. However, payments were still processed into their accounts as normal. The SSA has reported other online errors over the past several weeks as well. These include crashes, extended downtime, and login fields with missing information.
These problems have caused concern among users, but they’re nothing new. The SSA has had a spotty history when it comes to customer service, with communication and technical problems dating back decades.
