Will the 2025 COLA Be Higher Than the 2024 COLA?

With the 2024 COLA now in motion and landing in seniors’ bank accounts, people have already had time to get used to this 3.2 percent increase.

This cost-of-living adjustment was far less than the 8.7 percent boost that preceded it. While some claim that one was a result of extreme economic conditions brought about by the pandemic and lockdowns, we maintain COLAs should be high like this all the time.

This begs the question — what will happen in 2025? Will the 2025 COLA be higher than its predecessor? Or will it continue the downward trend? Some estimates say it could be 2.5 percent. We believe this is far lower than what seniors deserve. What do you think of this estimate? Share your thoughts with us.
